Position Specifics:

Role: Territory Manager – Colorado and New Mexico

Reports To: District Sales Manager in Utah

Territory: Denver South info New Mexico

Location: Must reside within the territory – preferred but not required

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Manage distributor relationships via strategic meetings, joint calls on end-users, training and events

·         Manage existing business with end-users (through distributors)

·         Prospecting for new business with existing and new end-users

·         Work with Sales Management to develop strategic territory business plans for achievement of sales growth

·         Participate in industry shows and professional organizations

·         Attend manufacturer trainings

·         Consistent communication with our manufacturer and distributor partners

·         Execute company and manufacturer objectives

·         Ability to manage an opportunity pipeline throughout the sales cycle

·         Add value with the distributor to show cost savings, productivity enhancement and compliance to the end user customer

·         Conduct an average of 12 calls per week and documenting within CRM

·         Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested

Position Qualifications:


·         Bachelor’s degree; required

Experience, Skills & Competencies:

·         3-5 years of outside sales experience; required

·         Track record of successful selling and relationship building

·         Strong leadership skills

·         Experience using CRM software

·         Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office tools; i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

·         Proficient written and verbal communication skills

·         Experience with Industrial/MRO sales; preferred but not required

·         Must be organized and self-driven to maintain high productivity

·         Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and time management skills

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking

·         Flexible when priorities shift

·         Ability to read a situation and address conflict in a proactive manner

·         Comfortable public speaking with strong presentation skills

·         Ability to progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers

·         Ability to follow a sales process that results in closing the business

·         Bilingual in Spanish; a plus but not required

·         Must be a team player with good listening skills

·         Results driven
